East Coast Railway GDCE Vacancy 2026 Overview

Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), East Coast Railway, Bhubaneswar has released the official recruitment notification (Notification No. ECoR/Pers/RRC-GDCE/2026) for the General Departmental Competitive Examination (GDCE) 2026. This recruitment drive is launched to fill 1,421 vacancies across various Safety and Non-Safety posts in East Coast Railway. Selection Process & Exam Pattern

Selection will be based on a single-stage Computer Based Test (CBT), followed by Aptitude Test or Skill Test where applicable, Document Verification, and Medical Examination.

  • Negative Marking: 1/3rd of allotted marks deducted for every incorrect response in CBT. No negative marking in CBAT.
  • Minimum Qualifying Marks in CBT: UR – 40%, OBC-NCL – 30%, SC – 30%, ST – 25% (2% relaxation for PwBD candidates in case of shortage).
  • Shortlisting ratio for CBAT/Typing Test: 8 times the number of category vacancies.

  1. Visit the official RRC Bhubaneswar website: rrcbbs.org.in.
  2. Click on the official application link for GDCE Notification No. ECoR/Pers/RRC-GDCE/2026.
  3. Fill in the registration form with personal details, IPAS ID, HRMS ID, Date of Birth, mobile number, and active personal email ID.
  4. Select your preferred post choices according to your eligibility and current pay scale/grade level.
  5. Upload a clear passport-size colour photograph (35 mm X 45 mm, JPEG format, maximum size 100 KB).
  6. Upload your scanned signature in running hand using black ink on white paper (50 mm X 20 mm, JPEG format, size 10 KB to 40 KB).
  7. Upload self-attested supporting certificates for proof of date of birth, educational/technical qualifications, caste certificate, and PwBD certificate where relevant.
  8. Submit the online form and generate the printed hard copy in PDF format.
  9. Get the printed application duly certified and forwarded by your Controlling Officer.
  10. Upload the scanned copy of the forwarded signed application under the supporting documents section before the closing deadline on 14 September 2026.
