- Specialist Medical Officer (Deputy Commandant): Recognized Medical Qualification (Allopathic System) registered with MCI/NMC/State Council, completion of compulsory internship, PG Degree/Diploma in the relevant specialty with 1.5 years experience after PG Degree or 2.5 years experience after PG Diploma.
- Medical Officer (Assistant Commandant): Recognized Allopathic Medical qualification (MBBS or equivalent) with NMC/MCI/State registration and completion of rotating internship. Candidates undergoing internship are eligible provided internship finishes before actual appointment.
