Salary and Pay Level
Selected candidates for the post of Canteen Attendant will receive salary in accordance with the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC) Pay Matrix:
- Pay Level: Pay Level-1 (Rs. 18,000 – Rs. 56,900)
- Basic Pay: Rs. 18,000 per month
- Allowances: Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance (TA), and other government benefits as admissible under Central Government rules.
- Probation Period: 2 Years

Income Tax Canteen Attendant Selection Process & Exam Pattern
The recruitment process consists of three sequential stages followed by Document Verification and Medical Fitness / Police Verification.
Stage 1: Scrutiny and Shortlisting
Applications will be screened based on marks scored in the 10th Standard / Matriculation examination. A total of 280 candidates (40 eligible candidates per vacancy) will be shortlisted for the Stage 2 written examination.
Stage 2: Objective Type Written Examination
The written examination will be conducted only at Bhopal (M.P.). It will be an objective multiple-choice test conducted in both Hindi and English.
